Lisa and Kevin - An Annapolis Wedding

Another great wedding to start the year off with. Kevin and Lisa said their "I do's" at Saint Margaret's Episcopal Church in Annapolis. We stopped by a quaint park on the Severn River for a few shots of the newlyweds on their way to the new Westin Annapolis Hotel. What a fantastic venue for weddings in Annapolis!!! VERY spacious room and everything is sparkling brand new. The lighting in the ballroom was well thought out by the folks who created the room. Very nice ambient light from the above tungsten light fixtures (thought I'd never say that!). John Paul Berry from Absolute Entertainment rocked the house with some really cool mixes. Best wishes to Lisa and Kevin and thank you so much for having Jill and I capture your memories!

Engagements 2008

Kicking off the year with the engagement sittings. My favorite locations are in and around Historic Annapolis. It's always great getting to meet my clients and "breaking the ice" before the big day.

Stephanie and Ian - Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD

Words simply cannot express how much I absolutely love this couple! I cannot think of a better way to start off the year than with a bride and groom such as Stephanie and Ian. They were simply into the day unlike any other bride and groom I have photographed. The weather was perfect for February too. Check out the movie link below and see for yourself the joy and love my wife Jill and I were able to capture. This is why I am a wedding photographer. Thanks Ian and Steph for a great experience. The two of you have energized my batteries for 2008!!!! Thank you!!!!

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Showcase 2008

I can't think of a better way to kick off the 2008 wedding season than at the annual Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Showcase. The weather was fabulous and the vendor list saw the likes of some of my favorites such as Quality Entertainment, Cache Fleur, and Up Do's For I Do's.

Cink Deveas and the team of Alchemi Design & Publications put together two amazing publications to go along with the event. She has got to be one of the most talented people I know in the graphic arts and design field. I am honored have contributed some of our work from 2007 to make the magazines another huge success. Annie Clark and Erik Hermann from the Clark Hermann Wedding at the Beach Club made the cover and inside spreads of the annual magazine. Monica Strickland from the Strickland Wilt Beach Club Wedding appears on the cover of the showcase program.

2008 looks to be a very promising year for weddings. We got to meet several of our upcoming brides along with a bunch of new and excited brides to be. Wendy Hickok and Jeannine and Brian Frest joined along side Jill and I to help welcome the soon to be newly weds and show them our passion for photography. A dear friend of mine once said "When you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life". This is so true. Our passion for photography and capturing of the magical moments is the engine that drives us along this wild journey. Every wedding offers new images that I could only dream of. We can't wait to see what dreams come true in 2008!! See you all real soon!!!

Eastern Shore Wedding of the Year!

I can't think of a better way to wrap up a busy and exciting year of weddings than with the biggest party of the year at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. 230 guests crowded the Beach House to witness Billy and Whitney say I do under candlelight. The reception followed with an awesome gathering of friends and family dining and dancing to the cool sounds of DJ Al Wysong of Wysongs DJs. Thanks to my lovely wife Jill and energetic assistant Tony for helping to capture some awesome images! Looking forward to 2008!

Erin and Les off to the Wild Blue!!!!

Erin and Les pushed the "High-G envelope" today with a bang up wedding and reception at the United States Naval Academy and Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. The weather was looking a little iffy with an ice storm that loomed just off to the west; however, we managed to get by without one raindrop! Best to Jason Canaan from Quality Entertainment (almost a daddy!), Craig Gormus from Gormus Video Productions and beautiful hair and makeup by Ashley of UpdosforIdos. This was a dream team of vendors. I only wish I could work with all these folks every weekend!!! Great job and congrats to Erin and Les!!!

Tahlene and Robert say I Do!

Rocco was one tough little pup to photograph! My lens nearly got nipped. What a cutie though!

Fantastic wedding on an unusually warm Sunday afternoon in October. Tahlene and Robert were wed at The Castle at Maryvale in Brooklandville, Maryland. I love shooting at this venue with it's warm wood tones and early architecture from another time. Jason Canaan from Quality Entertainment pulled off another flawless job that night. Always great working with you Crush!

Summer in October

Kara and Steve - I must admit Jill and I thought for sure we would be wearing jackets to your wedding; but not this year! Felt like a summer day in June! Shew! Jill and I started at the bride's home and were able to share in some family fun with the bride before her walk down the aisle on this October 6th of 2007. Then off to the Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church in Millersville (I've always wanted to shoot a wedding in that little church); I'd driven by it hundreds of times in the past. It was as beautiful inside as I had imagined.

The reception was at the famous "Paul's on the South River". Somehow they managed to get close to 200 guests in that little place; seemed everyone had a great time.

"The Real Geniuses"
an 80's rock band took me back to my high school days with some really great tunes. I thought Bono from U2 was in the room! Great job guys and gal! Can't wait to refer you guys in the future!

I should have the online in about a week.

It's a great day to trash the dress!!!

...and that is exactly what Heidi and Rob allowed me to do. We had a blast rolling around on the beach - after the wedding of course! Special shout out to Erin Janes for allowing us access to the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Beach Club grounds to capture these images.

Hair by Ashely from UpDo's for I Do's. Looked great Ashley! Thanks again for all your help - couldn't do it without you!

Cosmos Club Washington, D.C. - Nicole & Brian

Stepped back in time today at the Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the marriage of Nicole Neuman and Brian Wilberg.

Alexandra Pare from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events coordinated the event flawlessly. Alex, you and Claire took charge to make this an awesome wedding that our bride, groom, family and friends will never forget. Thanks for all your help and can't wait to work with the Cherry Blossom girls again.

The Cosmos club was established in 1878 by men of science, literature and the arts. What a fantastic venue; talk about dare to be different! Every angle offered new and exciting photographic opportunities. Jennifer, thanks for taking care of us and I'll be sending you a demo album real soon.

D.J. Derek Romanoff from Bialek's Music kept the dance floor packed the entire night - the music selection was fantastic and those JBL's sounded crisp as can be.

A special shout out to my loving wife, companion, and director Jill. Thanks for being by my side sweetheart - couldn't do it without you!

Tony, great job as my second shooter; you rock! I see nothing but success in your future! Remember, you can't fail with Canon! ;-)

If you'd like to see the photos from the Neuman Wilberg wedding, you can register on the D. Bryant Photography online gallery. Click here. Should have these online in a few days.
